  • Reports to the Vice President, Student Affairs and Enrollment Management
  • Manages and evaluates recruitment and admissions staff at all Atlantic Cape campuses
  • Schedules Jump Start visits to high schools, the college’s premier recruitment and enrollment effort
  • Administers, oversees and authorizes departmental budgets
  • In collaboration with Marketing and College Relations, develops a comprehensive marketing campaign inclusive of credit and continuing education audiences for recruitment and admissions that includes segmented markets, strategic outreach, measurable goals and outcomes, and continued routine evaluation and tracking of agreed upon KPIs
  • Via outreach, cultivates effective relationships with all area high schools (public, private, charter, independent), parental and community groups, businesses, and agencies where potential student populations may be reached
  • Supervises assessment of enrollment management initiatives and tracks ROI of these programs including: Open Houses, NJ STARS and the Academy of Culinary Arts, and works with the appropriate campus staff members to ensure a successful implementation
  • Reviews and provides input into student publications, such as the academic calendar, semester tabloid and catalog, continuing education guides, and other recruitment and marketing printed vehicles
  • Insures an active, effective and updated online presence for recruitment purposes through Social Media, Web and other electronic/digital media and works collaboratively with college departments and vendors in that process
  • Monitors admissions-related information on college social media sites
  • Insures an efficient, lean and effective administration of intake functions for recruitment and admissions, both electronic and in-person
  • Oversees the electronic communications management process for incoming credit and continuing education students
  • Coordinates functions of the area with academic and continuing education leadership and student services
  • Oversees student information management and data analysis for the department, providing routine reports, including application counts by semester and other appropriate categories
  • Coordinates with other college offices for the effective dissemination of information and the collection of data related to student admissions
  • Serves on the college-wide Enrollment Management Cross Functional Committee and on appropriate college committees
  • Monitors efficacy of recruitment initiatives such as Open Houses, NJ STARS and the Academy of Culinary Arts, and works with the appropriate campus staff members to ensure a successful implementation
  • Serves as the institutional Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) for the admission of International Students
  • Advises the Vice President on any necessary revisions or improvements in admissions and recruitment policy and procedures
  • Performs related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Master’s preferred
  • Experience working with and awareness of needs of diverse populations
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a higher education setting, preferably related to admissions, recruitment or marketing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of an electronic admissions intake and communications management system
  • Knowledge and demonstrated use of social media and networking platforms
  • Knowledge of Ellucian’s Colleague preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, database management, organizational and communication skills
