This is a part-time position with a maximum of 26 hours per week. Hours and work locations vary, and could be any campus location, days, nights and Saturdays.

We are seeking part-time library aides for the Atlantic Cape Community College libraries at campuses in Mays Landing, Atlantic City and Cape May Court House.  We are looking for bright, energetic people who are enthusiastic about learning and want to help people accomplish their educational goals.  

Responsibilities include general library work: checking books, shelving, inter-library loans, managing reserves, and helping patrons locate both print and digital information resources.  Library aides also help patrons with computer use, particularly with Microsoft Office, Google apps, Internet use and navigating online courses.  Additional responsibilities include the basic use and maintenance of equipment such as printers, copiers and scanners; assist technologies, and light housekeeping.  

Minimum Requirements:
  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with people of widely varying skills and abilities is essential.
  • Computer skills and a knowledge of library functions is preferred.
  • A pleasant and cheerful demeanor is required.
  • Any specialized skills are a plus (for example, knowledge of specific academic subject areas, computer programming, foreign languages, etc).
