Atlantic Cape Offers Technology Certifications This Spring

Atlantic Cape Community College will offer several computer, technology and IT certifications beginning this spring for those interested in starting a new career.

In the Business Technology Specialist Program, students learn the skills to succeed in an office environment, from PowerPoint to Microsoft Office Collaboration and Integration and QuickBooks. The 198-hour training begins Jan. 29 and students earn nine college credits.

A+ Certification provides an introduction on how to build, maintain, support and troubleshoot computers and prepares students for the CompTIA A+ Certification. The 160-hour certification preparation course begins March 19.

Computer Technical Solution Series is designed to furnish students with the knowledge necessary to acquire critical industry certifications including CompTIA A+ and Network+ and provide them with hands-on skills in a variety of core competencies that are needed for success in the IT world today, beginning March 19.

Operating System Concepts introduces students to the theory and practice of systems, including Windows, Mac OS and UNIX/Linux. The 148-hour program begins May 21.

Network+ Certification offers an entry-level certification for anyone interested in learning the configuration, management and troubleshooting of common wired and wireless network devices in this 105-hour program. This course will provide students with the foundational networking knowledge necessary to obtain the CompTIA Network+ certification, which can be applied toward other advanced networking certifications, and begins July 10.
