Atlantic Cape Offers ‘Club 50 Plus’ Enrichment Workshops for Seniors

Atlantic Cape Community College’s Club 50 Plus will offer workshops this fall designed to enhance the personal, professional and social lives of older learners.

Beginner Piano teaches attendants the fundamental concepts and basic techniques to play easy melodies, 5:30-7:30 p.m., five Mondays, beginning Feb. 12, at the Mays Landing Campus.

Planning for Successful Retirement will cover important money management concepts and issues that are critical to people at or near retirement, 9 a.m.-noon, two Saturdays, Feb. 17 and 24, at the Cape May County Campus.

Who Are You Leaving Your Money To? will focus on long-term care; how to avoid estate tax traps that can affect the whole family; wills and trusts used in estate planning; and durable powers of attorney and health care declarations, 2-4 p.m., Wednesday, March 21 at the Mays Landing Campus; and 2-4 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, at the Cape May County Campus.

Buying on eBay will introduce the world of eBay and review all aspects of how to use eBay for buying, 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, at the Mays Landing Campus.

Beginner Selling on eBay will familiarize users with how eBay and active PayPal accounts work, and all aspects of selling on eBay, 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, at the Mays Landing Campus.

Expanded Selling on eBay focuses on tips on how to list your item for sale at the right price and how to ship your item the most cost effective way, 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, May 23, at the Mays Landing Campus.

Intermediate Piano builds on basic piano theory, 5:30-7:30 p.m., five Mondays beginning April 2.

Retirement Planning for Women addresses the unique challenges that women face in retirement and how to avoid common mistakes and create a paycheck for life, 6:30-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, at the Mays Landing Campus, or 6:30-8 p.m., Thursday, May 10, at the Cape May County Campus.
