Atlantic Cape Board of Trustees Approves Bids and Personnel Actions

The Atlantic Cape Community College Board of Trustees conducted their monthly meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the Mays Landing Campus.

The following motions were approved by the Board of Trustees:

Contracts and Purchases:

  • Approved RFP 221, Media Buying, JL Media, Union, New Jersey, $125,000.00 (not to exceed).
  • Approved Bid Ex. 810 Comcast Ethernet, one-year contract, Comcast Business, Trevose, Pennsylvania, $75,840.00.
  • Approved non-bid award: Authorizing the award of a contract for Ashley Food to provide culinary food items as needed for class instruction for the sum in excess of $17,500.00.
  • Approved non-bid award: Authorizing the award of a contract for B.F. Mazzeo to provide culinary food items as needed for class instruction for the sum in excess of $17,500.00.
  • Approved non-bid award: Authorizing the award of a contract for U.S. Food Service to provide culinary food items as needed for class instruction for the sum in excess of $17,500.00.
  • Approved non-bid award: Authorizing the award of a contract for Samuels and Son Seafood to provide culinary food items as needed for class instruction for the sum in excess of $17,500.00.

Grants:

The Board of Trustees approved the college to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the New Jersey Council of County Colleges (NJCCC) and the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education for the implementation of the College Readiness Now V Project, with a grant award of $37,304, a grant term of Sept. 2018 – June 30, 2019. 

In Personnel Matters, the Board Approved:

  • The appointment of Robyn Berenato, temporary office assistant, Enrollment Services.
  • The appointment of Natalie Cohen, program coordinator, Student Success Program effective Sept. 26, 2018 (grant funded).
  • The appointment of Janet Hauge, director, Academic Support Services effective Oct. 1, 2018.
  • The title change of John Feldbauer, director, PC Services and Telephony to director, Server, Cloud and Broadcast Systems effective Sept. 26, 2018.
  • The reclassification of Linda DeSantis, from director, Financial Aid, to director, Financial Aid and Veterans Affairs.
  • The reclassification of Sandra Greco, from assistant director, PC Services, to director, Systems and Hardware Projects effective Sept. 26, 2018.
  • The resignation of Colin McFadden, security officer I, retroactive to Sept.12, 2018.
  • The retirement of Dennis Price, clerk of Inventory/Receiving since Feb. 22, 1993, retroactive to Aug.1, 2018.
  • The retirement of Delores Rolls, laboratory assistant since Oct. 26, 2005, retroactive to Aug. 1, 2018.
  • The reappointment of Linda Wohlman, chef educator, effective July 1, 2018.
  • The appointment of Mary Theresa McCann, chef educator, for the half-year term, effective July 1, 2018.

 

In Other Business, the Board:

  • Approved the FY18 Draft Financial Statement for twelve months ended June 30, 2018 as of Sept. 10, 2018.
  • Approved the FY19 Financial Statement for two months ended Aug. 31, 2018.

The next meeting of the Atlantic Cape Community College Board of Trustees is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Oct. 30 at the college’s Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus.
