Atlantic Cape student club to host public Q&A event with accessibility advocate Jacob Hackett

Join Atlantic Cape Community College’s Community for the Differently Abled club for a discussion with local accessibility advocate Jacob Hackett 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24 at the college’s Mays Landing campus.
Hackett is a 2017 recipient of the Donald J. Sykes Award, which recognizes individuals with disabilities for their positive attitudes, personal accomplishments, and success in enriching the lives of others. He also advocates for those with disabilities through the Boggs Center at Rutgers University, works a DJ on WIBG radio, and is involved with the South Jersey Field of Dreams, among his many commitments.
Atlantic Cape Community College’s Community for the Differently Abled is a new student club formed this year which works to promote accessibility on the college campus.
Hackett will be speaking on campus about his work and life experiences in the CDA’s inaugural event for its Accessibility Advocacy Series. The discussion will include a question and answer portion.
This event is open to the public and will be held in Room C-3 at the Mays Landing Campus, 5100 E. Black Horse Pike, or via Zoom (Meeting ID - 913 7589 2480). Atlantic Cape COVID-19 protocols and procedures will be enforced.
