Welcome to the One-Stop Welcome Center at Atlantic Cape!

We are excited that you have chosen to start your education journey with us. Before you begin, we recommend that you have your high school transcripts, SAT or ACT scores with you as that will help us determine what classes you need in your first semester.

All three of our campus locations are open Monday-Thursday 8:30-4:00 p.m. Starting on Aug 15, all three campus locations will be open Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. You will need to check in when you arrive to our campus or you can let us know save you space by clicking the link below to let us know you're on your way

Before you visit our new One-Stop Welcome Center in-person, we ask that you fill out your application to Atlantic Cape. It’s easy, and it’s free to apply! You can fill this out at home or on your phone by visiting atlantic.edu/apply or you can use one of our computer terminals at any of our 3 convenient campus locations. You are automatically accepted. You will also receive your student ID number, which you will need throughout your time at Atlantic Cape.

  • Meet your Atlantic Cape Student Services Specialist.
Whether virtually or in person, you will have one central point of contact at Atlantic Cape to guide you through the process and answer questions you might have. Your Specialist will want to know what career goals you have in mind and help you decide on your major .
  • Explore career options with Career Coach.
We want to make sure you know what you can expect when you earn a degree or certificate from Atlantic Cape. Career Coach is an online program that asks questions about what you enjoy doing and provides you with options for your course of study.
  • Fill out the FAFSA application.
FAFSA stands for “Free Application for Federal Student Aid,” and it’s the way to apply for Federal and state aid, including grants. It is optional, but we highly recommend filling this out because you might be eligible for funds based on any number of criteria. Be sure to use Atlantic Cape’s code 002596 when filling out the application, and also choose to use your data for the state of New Jersey.

If you don’t have your high school transcript, SAT, or ACT, or your information indicates you need additional help, we will ask you to take a placement test. You can’t fail our test – it’s simply a way for us to ensure that you are in the correct class level.

  • Plan out your classes and register.
Your Student Services Specialist will introduce you to an advisor in the Center for Student Success, where you will plan and register for your classes.
  • Payment.
Once you are registered, your Specialist will have you visit the Bursar to make your payment, set up a payment plan, or you can complete the process online through Self Service. If you have completed your FAFSA, you may not need to do this step, depending on the time of year.
