What’s GIS Day?
Since 1999, more than 10,000 organizations have participated in an event called GIS Day. The objective of GIS Day is to create awareness among our students and communities of what GIS is and the importance of the technology in our lives. At Atlantic Cape Community College we are proud to be part of the event.
On Wednesday, November 17, Atlantic Cape Community College will celebrate the 2010 GIS Day at the Mays Landing Campus. There will be exhibitions by GIS users and students, and activities including a geocaching event. Geocaching is a modern-day, high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure-seekers equipped with GPS devices.
