One of the first programs founded at Atlantic Cape Community College, the Hospitality Management program started as the Hotel/Motel Program back in October of 1970.
The largest supporter of the program is the community itself. There are many scholarships that can be earned by Hospitality Management students. The college is also involved with the Atlantic City Hotel & Lodging Association, and is affiliated with the Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education (CHRIE) as well as Hospitality Educators of the Mid Atlantic Region (HEMAR).
The program continues to grow with steady enrollment each year. All faculty members (both full time and adjuncts) have industry experience in a variety of positions.
According to Dr. Josette Katz, Professor of Hospitality Management, a significant achievement of the program is the thousands of students the program has graduated over the years. Many graduates of the program are recognized industry executives, both locally and worldwide.
Hospitality Management staff members partner with area high schools to promote future growth of the program. Additionally staff members maintain working relationships with industry partners who support students with part-time and full-time jobs and internship opportunities.
