Luis J. Olivieri

Senior Manager, GIS

Luis works in the area of geospatial technologies and is assisting
the College in the development of the Geospatial Workforce Education Program (GeoWEP).  GeoWEP will develop the workforce and partnerships between the academia, the public
and the private sector to meet the demand for professionals in
the technologies of Geographic Information System (GIS),
remote sensing, and global positioning system (GPS), in southern New Jersey.  

Luis has a BS and MS in the area of agricultural sciences from University of Puerto Rico, and the course work of the Ph.D. program from The Ohio State University.  For close to 20 years he has worked in the area of natural resources using geospatial technologies as tools to deal with environmental issues.  He has experience as professor, in research and as consultant.
