My Education:
I
was educated at Philadelphia
College of Art (now University of the Arts) where I earned a BFA in
Illustration. I used this experience to work in the fields of graphic
design and illustration before deciding to become a fine artist.
I continued my education at Pennsylvania
Academy of Fine Arts majoring in painting and minoring in printmaking.
It was here that a scholarship enabled me to become a teaching assistant
to accomplished printmaker Hester Stinnett.
My
Role As Educator:
I
teach various subjects including drawing, watercolor, art history, aesthetics
and art theory both as adult enrichment and accredited courses. My delivery
includes hands-on, lecture-demo, and lecture-discussion. I also
teach online facilitating ACCC's courses Art Appreciation. I am also developing
some for-credit computer graphics courses. I
enjoy teaching and many of my art-related lessons for teachers and students
are available at my Art
Tools and Resources site.
