Atlantic Cape offers the opportunity for those interested in allied health programs to learn about the program requirements, courses, and current/future job potential -- plan to attend the College-Wide Open House, Nursing Program InfoSession, a Health Career Planning Session.

Nursing Program Information Session

Focuses on details of the nursing profession and Atlantic Cape’s RN program including the competitive entry process.  Attendance at an Information Session is strongly recommended but not required for admission to the program.

Informal Discussion Includes:

  • How is the competition really structured?
  • What rumors have you heard?
  • What if you're not selected when you expected?
  • How are you preparing for the entry exam?
  • Are you an LPN, current and practicing?
  • How do you visualize the program and your potential career?

On the Mays Landing Campus

Nursing Program Info Sessions are presented at least once per semester.  Look for upcoming dates to be posted soon! Courtesy pre-registration is requested but not required: please leave name, number of guests attending, and session selected on the voicemail recording at 609-343-5048 or 609-463-4774, ext. 5048 or via e-mail to stogel@atlantic.edu.  Confirmations are not issued. Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the start time to sign in and collect materials.  Presenters will be available upon conclusion for additional questions.

Health Career Planning Session

This session will review regional training and career options, explore employment and educational opportunities, and provide information about entry-level through advanced technical training and degree programs. This session with also offer details about the new Radiologic Technology, AAS degree program which is offered in partnership with the Shore Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology (SMCSRT). 

Informal Discussion Includes:

  • Clarify format, locations, competition, and expectations of the training required to enter or advance in health care professions from entry-level to advanced specializations, with suggestions for reaching success.
  • Review roles and responsibilities within various job titles and fields
  • Explore training options and/or alternative career routes and career ladders
  • Focus on details of Atlantic Cape's AAS degree programs in Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, and Radiologic Technology, as well as certificate training programs offered through the College's Continuing Education department.
