Atlantic Cape offers sessions for those interested in allied health programs as follows:
Nursing Program Information Session
Focuses on details of the nursing profession and Atlantic Cape’s RN program including the competitive entry process. Attendance at an Information Session is strongly recommended but not required for admission to the program.
Informal Discussion Includes:
- How is the competition really structured?
- What rumors have you heard?
- What if you're not selected when you expected?
- How are you preparing for the entry exam?
- Are you an LPN, current and practicing?
- How do you visualize the program/your career?
On the Mays Landing Campus
Nursing Program InfoSessions are presented at least once per semester, fall and spring. The date for the next session is Tuesday April 16th, 5:30-7pm in the Walter Edge Theater, Building C, Mays Landing Campus. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time to sign in and collect materials. Pre-registration is requested but not required: leave name, number and session selected on voicemail recording (343-5048, or 625-1111 or 463-4774. ext. 5048) or via email to stogel@atlantic.edu. No confirmation will be issued. Late arrival is permitted if unavoidable. Presenters available upon conclusion for additional questions.

Health Career Planning Session
Reviews regional training and career options, explores opportunities, summarizes jobs/programs, entry-level through advanced technical training and degree programs. Atlantic Cape also provides the preparatory courses required and indicated by Shore Medical Center for potential entry to their School of Radiologic Technology or for potential transfer to other regional programs for fields of diagnostic imaging.
Informal Discussion Includes:
- Clarify format, locations, competition, and expectations of the training required to enter or advance in health care professions/employment from entry level to advanced specializations, with suggestions for reaching success.
- Review roles and responsibilities within various job titles/fields
- Explore training options and/or alternative career routes and career ladders
- Focus on details of Atlantic Cape's AAS degree programs in Nursing and Respiratory Therapy, and certificate training through our Continuing Education programs in:
On the Mays Landing Campus
The next Health Career Planning Session will be held on Wednesday March 13th, 5:30-7pm in Cafeteria B, Building C (cafeteria area attached to J), Mays Landing Campus, providing an overview and numerous handouts. Arrive 15 minutes early to sign-in and collect materials. Late arrival is permitted if unavoidable. Presenter available upon conclusion for additional questions.
