Biology-Option

Science and Mathematics, Associate in Science

Designed for students who wish to major in biology and who plan to transfer into the junior year of pre-professional programs, such as ecology, biology, pharmacy, chiropractics, medical, dental, mortuary, horticulture, veterinary and education. It is appropriate for technician-level job opportunities when two years of academic preparation in biology is required.

It is strongly recommended that students entering the program have a minimum of one year of high school biology, chemistry, and mathematics at an advanced level. Electives should be selected based on the students interest, the requirements of the transfer institution,or technician-level vocation opportunities. Basic skills requirements must be met before entering into the program. Some courses require prerequisites; check course description
