Educational Office Specialist
Atlantic Cape's Educational Office Specialist Professional Series provides students with the knowledge needed for entry to a clerical position in educational systems or in organizations concerned with public education.
Students learn to transcribe educational information; type educational documents, reports and other correspondence; perform office duties in schools, school administration offices and educational or training departments of various businesses and keep files to manage an educational department.
Students learn New Jersey School law, how to prepare educational documents, educational terminology, human relations, machine transcription, word processing, office procedures, technology and related skills and business communications.
Credits received in the series can be applied to Atlantic Cape's Office Systems Technology, A.A.S. degree or other degree programs. Completion of this series supports the Professional Development Program established by the New Jersey Association of Educational Office Professionals.
