Educational Office Specialist Professional Series

ACCC's Educational Office Specialist Professional Series provides students with the knowledge needed for entry to a clerical position in educational systems or in organizations concerned with public education.

You should complete this series if you desire to be an educational secretary; want to transcribe educational information; need to type educational documents, reports and other correspondence; would like to perform office duties in schools, school administration offices and educational or training departments of various businesses; keep files to manage an educational department or want to simply enhance your existing job skills.

You will learn New Jersey School law, how to prepare educational documents, educational terminology, human relations, machine transcription, word processing, office procedures, technology and related skills and business communications.

If you decide to continue your education, you can apply the credits that you receive in the series to ACCC's Associate in Applied Science degree in Office Systems Technology, or other degree programs. Completion of this series will support the Professional Development Program established by the New Jersey Association of Educational Office Professionals.
