Acts of crime may include vehicle accidents, theft, vandalism, assault, weapons possession, use and/or presence of controlled substances, violation of College policies, use of profanity, etc.

Any or all of the above activities should be reported immediately to the Security Office via phone or in person. Upon receipt of notification, Security shall conduct a complete and thorough investigation. All information shall be recorded on form 924.1 - Supplement 1 titled "Atlantic Cape Community College Investigation Report". The Security Department shall reserve the right to request assistance from outside law enforcement agencies should they deem it necessary or by requirement of law.

In the event of stolen College property, the Security Department shall provide the Director of Business Services with a list of all missing property so it can be removed form the College inventory and any insurance claims can be filed accordingly.

In the event of a vehicular accident, Security shall record all pertinent information on form 924.1 - Supplement 2 titled "Security Department Accident Report". In addition, Security shall assist the involved parties in reporting the loss to local law enforcement and investigation by the owner's insurance company.

Atlantic Cape Community College is not responsible for loss or damage to any property of students, staff, or others while such property is on College properties.
