Luis Giovanni Paz returns to Atlantic Cape Community College, this time as the new head coach of the men’s soccer team.  Coach “Gio” has been involved in soccer for over 10 years both as a player, trainer, and coach.  He began his soccer career as a player for Oakcrest High School, in which he was one of the goalkeepers. He attended ACCC from 2009-2011 and joined the men’s soccer team as Goalkeeper and Team Captain and was a recipient of back-to-back Leadership Awards. He joined the former Hamilton Twp. Soccer Club from 2010-2015 as a trainer/coach. During this time, he also was the ACCC as men’s soccer team assistant coach from 2011-2012. Since 2015, he has been one of the Lead Trainers/Coaches for Prestige Soccer Training, based in Egg Harbor Twp.

Soccer has become an obsession for Coach Gio and training kids and adults, ranging from 5-23 years of age, his passion.  He has trained/coached high school players throughout the county through his involvement in various soccer clubs, which yielded several NCAA Division 1, 2, and 3 college recruits. In addition, he developed a soccer training program for children with special needs, which focused on physical and technical conditioning.

Coach Gio currently holds a New Jersey Youth Soccer “E” & “F” coaching license and United Soccer Coaches Level 1, 2, and 3 Goalkeeper licenses. He is part owner of The Pack (Sports/Strength/Conditioning) facility in Galloway, which offers all kinds of exercise equipment and one-on-one soccer-specific training.  

In his free time he is a devoted husband and father to his three little girls and his hobbies are playing soccer and watching professional “Premier League” games.
