Procedure No. 403.4

Description: Pilot Projects

Adopted: 04/23/96
Revisions Approved:

Larger projects may warrant a pilot phase before full implementation occurs. Pilot projects give us the chance to evaluate the use of technology in real situations but with selected, limited audiences or areas of application. They are run under the strong assumption that a full implementation will occur but that we need to move incrementally to that final stage. Pilot projects should proceed like evaluation projects, except that the report at the end of the pilot should highlight issues to resolve in moving to full implementation.

Pilot projects will receive the same level of support as full implementations.
