When due to a medical disability (including inability to work arising out of or connected with pregnancy or recovery therefrom), an employee shall be granted an extended leave without pay for a period of up to 12 months. The college may require periodic medical certification which shall be submitted to the Human Resources Department that such conditions warrant the leave.
