Prior to the completion of the probationary period the immediate supervisor will complete an Employee Performance Appraisal Form for submission to the Human Resources Department and will advise the employee of the recommendation for regular employment of termination.

With approval of the Human Resources Department, the probationary period can be extended for an additional period not to exceed 30 days and written notice of such extension will be given to the employee.

During this period, the college may discharge the probationary employee without being subject to the grievance procedure. Conversely, at any time during the probationary period one may resign without prejudice or the college may terminate his/her services without the usual two-week notice.
