Announcing Last Call for 2023 Women of Wonder Award Nominations; Deadline Extended Until June 30

Women of Wonder Awards 2023 at The Flanders Hotel in Ocean City NJ

MAYS LANDING — The Cape May County Women’s Commission, in collaboration with the Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation, is announcing a last call for nominations for the 2023 Women of Wonder (WOW) Award, which will be announced on Thursday, November 2 at The Flanders Hotel in Ocean City, NJ.

The WOW Award recognizes influential women in Cape May County for their outstanding and selfless dedication to helping others reach their full potential. A WOW Award recipient should possess leadership qualities, be dedicated, hardworking and civic minded. She should be an advocate for her neighbors and community, while having a wide and encompassing, far-reaching network of colleagues, coworkers, family and friends.

The outstanding leader would, in her capacity and as a WOW Award recipient, share the enthusiasm to reach the goals of the Cape May County Women’s Commission Annual Scholarship Fundraising event in advocating for education, uplifting other young women in order to assist them in furthering their goals and educational dreams.

All WOW Award nominees should meet the criteria and inspirational profile by being a female resident of Cape May County; have had a demonstrable positive impact on the lives of residents in Cape May County; be recognized as an outstanding leader and/or role model in civic, business, industry, education, public service or in other sectors of the local community; and must commit to attending the luncheon awards event on November 2.

Individual tickets to this year’s awards ceremony are available for $50 and a table of 10 for $450. A variety of sponsorship and advertising opportunities are also available.

Last year’s event raised $12,100 for the Women of Wonder Scholarship Endowment to support students studying at Atlantic Cape.
