About the Event

Scramble Fore Scholarships

The 2019 Scramble 'FORE' Scholarships Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, October 4 at Cape May National Golf Club.  The event draws nearly 100 players annually and is supported by a wide variety of local businesses and organizations in the form of donations, sponsorship and advertising opportunities, and player registrations.  Thank you to our 2019 Golf Tournament sponsors!

Highlights of the day include lunch, skills challenges, giveaways, raffle prizes, a dinner reception and much more!

In addition to having a great time playing on a spectacular course, your contribution is an investment in the future of our community. Your sponsorship will help provide the financial assistance needed by our students to complete their studies and become the future leaders of our community.  Since its inception at Cape May National in 2006, this event has raised over $230,000. Last year's Golf Tournament raised over $42,000 and helped to support eighteen students with scholarship funding for the upcoming fall semester!  Check out photos from Golf Tournaments throughout the years.

Scramble Format

Choose the best tee shot through a general consensus of your scramble team. The group can decide the best tee shot based on any criteria they choose. Usually the best shot is the longest drive that lands in the fairway. Or your team may choose a long tee shot that landed off the fairway in the rough if you have a decent lie.  Mark the spot of the best tee shot with a golf tee or ball marker. Direct other players to pick up their balls and hit from within one club length of the marked spot. Continue selecting the best shot until one player hits the ball in the hole. The team score is total of the best shots.

About the Presenting Sponsor

Owned and operated by the Mullock Family, Cape May National Golf Club began hosting the annual Golf Tournament in 2006.  Nicknamed “The Natural,” the golf course surrounds a fifty acre private bird sanctuary and is consistently celebrated as one of the most beautiful courses in the region.  Cape May National started a new trend in environmental sensitivity in course design while providing a classic turn of the century golf course that golfers love. In fact, Cape May National goes back to its roots in the late 1800's with its predecessor, Cape May Country Club.  For more information about Cape May National, please visit their Cape May National website or call (609) 554-1563.
